Morning everyone!
First smoke of the day is some Erinmore Balkan in a BC Mirage, I'm at the book shop til 2 then it's off to see my cats.
It has been really rainy for the past couple of weeks here, and in true SA fashion, the roads are falling to pieces (i'm sure given six months and too much money they'll be fixed)
Hiss! anyway, have a super day everyone!
Justin
Late start for me this morning - I overslept rather badly. Well, I'm up & at it with a bowl of FVF in a GBD apple & coffee. Sometime during the day I've got to go buy the currency (UK pounds) for my fishing trip to Kenya in just under two weeks time. For the rest of it I have more than enough desk work to keep me out of mischief.
Enjoy those pipes today.
The powers that be are not happy with us two and have decided to flex, (if you look real hard you'll see a vein popping) and bring us back onto first shift. Ahhh, the government life. Biggest annoyance is that I abhor traffic and most of the people I used to work with.
Consoling myself with an overdue effort with the carnauba and the soldiers that need some attention. I really do have some nice pieces. A little tot of Jack before my three hour nap and dayshift along with a load of Dark Star in my Brebbia dubby.
If this keeps me off the tour, I'll be really... the same, only different, but the same.
Enjoy all, smoke lot's.

IR Wild Cherry in my Amphora bent bulldog. Traffic through snowy streets allongside. Stopped by a filling station and got a quart of Kona coffee to jack up my eyelids. I was surprized at how many folks made it to work, since the streets were blissfully empty. School closings do a nice job of keeping traffic down until about 10:00 or so WHEN THE LITTLE BLIGHTERS WAKE UP.
Happy puffin' all.
Just call me Kurt. Just call the dog Hannah. (Call her whatever you want, she won't come anyway.)

Chilly one here in my neck of the woods....front blew in and dropped the temps overnight. This coming on the heels of a balmy 75F day yesterday. Gotta love South Texas weather.
OGS in a no-name bent Italy, lots of Eight O'Clock Original on the side. Still have some Bailey's left......Irish Coffee sure sounds good right now.
Is it too early?

Some GH Bright CR in a Stanwell HCA1. Thanks, Captain, for turning me on to this pipe, it is just perfect for flakes. I've yet to use the extra long bit that came with it, churchwardens are not my favorite.

from the work station. It is 05:17 PST and I am hard at it again.... .
About the only good thing regaerding travel to work at 04:00 is that the roads are pretty much empty and one can set his own pace. Chilly here today - had to wait for the frost to melt off of the windshield.
McC 2015 in a Stanwell Sterling Silver, coffee on the side and enough stress in life to float the Titanic....
Have a good one everyone...
Aging is mandatory, maturing is optional.
I am pretending that I've lighted my Digby which is already loaded with C&D Stratfordshire and sitting in it's rest on my desk so, so near my left hand. Ridiculous that I'm facing a third pipeless day. No joy in Pittsburgh.
I don't imagine work will be glad to hear I won't be in another day either. Upper management has absolutely no empathy.
Happiness is a warm pipe.
Smoking a local B&M English mix in my Meer.
after all the usual blends this morning, I puffed some Black Ambrosia from MacBaren, after looooong time!! Nice Aromatic :-)
Coffee and some stuff from the local B&M. On the way to work in a few hours it will be Engine 99.
My computer at work flipped out and I am running in safe mode today. One monitor when I need three, no printer and 900x600 resolution.
I hate technology.
Desperately in need of a pipe and a scotch. It is pretty outside with all the snow!
As if on cue, it started to snow here again just as a snowplow went by my house. It seems like we're getting the oncoming Midwestern storm on top of Friday's East Coast's blizzard; there's a prediction of 10 more inches by the end of tomorrow but given the level of hysteria it may be an overstatement.
On the plus side, I've cleaned up a bunch of pipes well and I'm happily working my way through some neglected open tins, having finished off some McClelland St. James Woods and now smoking some Perterson Irish Flake, along with my steady diet of Boswell Northwoods. I now have the fine dilemma of opening a tin of either GL Pease's Odyssey or Cope's Escudo. Snowbound but not unhappy, since I have some whiskey laid in as well.

#222 Flake in a Karl Erik grade A Bent, coffee on the side.

Have a good one!
GH Brown Flake, scented, in a Courieau cutty. Waiting for the snow to arrive. Should be a jumpin' mess--snow, rain, freezing rain. Wish my Tacoma had 4-wheel drive for the 4 day a year I need it.

server is slow. Guess I shouldn't have clicked a second time....

Traffic wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be, but I do get off at 1430 with a small wait for base traffic to get out. Fifteen minutes added to my earlier (later?) commute. Actually lets me finish a full bowl on the way home. I'd go weed whack, but it's been raining/drizzling on and off all day, bummer.
Oilcan with a rare Peterson Luxury Blend in a KE freehand. Bed soon to try and make up for last night. Workin' on at least a ten pound TAD order for March before taxes and when she leaves to see the new grand daughter. Crap, the new tax threats annoy me.
Enjoy all,

...in Wisconsin just for my skiing this weekend. I'm one happy guy and I thank all of you. Send me all the snow you care to!
Another big "thank you" to all of you who have been ordering Captain Bob's Blend. Craig tells me sales are doing well!
Came home early from the office due to the storm...
Poured some Rum and proceeded to mix up a "fresh" batch of Pot O' Gold Mixture. This stuff is so good with spiced rum on the side!
Tonight it's Captain Bob's Blend after taco's! The spicy Perique and Latakia in my blend will go well with the taco after-taste.
Then, it's more Rum and off to bed. Nothing else planned as last night I was in the simulator. Tonight, I relax!
Enjoy your late evening smokes, everyone.
