Zagreb wasn't covered with snow like this in years!! On my balcony table there is around 40cm of snow!!!
Smoking my Davorin's Morta filled with MB Virgina No1 (like usual, first thing in the morning), and waiting!!! The the documentary that I'm starting to shot, I supose, will be delayed for few days, cos of this SNOW!!!
But waiting is much easier with pipe full of tobacco!! :-)
good day to everyone :-)
Reduced commuting time today, only about 60m. Savinelli canadian full of SG Medium Virginia Flake, a tuned down version of FVF that I find easier to smoke.
The tinned version of MVF is known as Golden Glow and it's not presented as a full flake, it more like a half-rubbed flake.
Have a nice day.
I bought a pound of the MVF and didn't think it was like a half rubbed out flake. I thought it was more like Repunzel's hair after a bad day working on the deck of an aircraft carrier, in a hurricane, and then mistook her mixmaster for her hairdrier. I doubt that I can find a single six inch flake in a pound. That said, it's a great smoke. Hey, presentation isn't everything.
No pipe yet today. (Damn!!) Maybe later.
Happy puffin all.
but clouds are gathering - the first phase of de-salting my Jeep.
First smoke = C&D Bayou Morning (just yummy) in a little cob.
Next up - Penzance. I succeeded in re-hydrating my base hit of 1 ounce (hesitate to call such a trifling amount a "score").
Busy day off with wife deciding to join me...all day long. I feel a shopping spree coming on. Signs of spring.
Warming up (40's) and lots of rain to wash away our snow.
Started on the Treadmill with Heritage. Then Captain Bob's Blend and now, Pot O' Gold. Have Riverboat with me today, as well.
Now, those Swedish interns... I'm interested. I want pictures.
Enjoy your smokes, everyone!
My Long Island home has five bedrooms and a large inground pool. Lets get those sweet sweeds over this summer. Bring all the other toys too! We can have a drunken pipe smokin orgy sooner than later. Hell why wait? Bet Dimetri, Tim and Scott will drop by also. Are ya all smilin yet????
Glorious outside and I missed it do to last night's self medicating. Up late with an hour to go before work. French roast and Wall Street in a KE freehand.
This is MY USA! There just HAS to be Swedish interns, (and they better not look like Bjorn Borg).
Good afternoon all. Smoking some British Blend in a Tinsky. I had some time off today so I got an early start on it. The perfect weather has given way to clouds, and soon heavy rain. Happy to be inside.
Krawdad, I don't know what they do to MVF but the tinned version is the same cut, so they do it on purpose.
TF Heritage on the BigBen Racine Cambon bulldog.
My last tobacco order should arrive tomorrow (ohhhhh please, please, please), I can hardly wait, new stuff for trying: Capstan Original, GH Louisiana Flake and GLP Haddo's Delight.
and Jeanies Toast to the 90's (aromatic similar to 1Q) in a Stanwell.
Happy smoking all
I now own an additional twenty pipes. Most of them are old Kaywoodies and Medicos along with a few that do not have any markings. They are not in bad shape but I'm still going to give them a good cleaning and sweetening. At $15.00 US for the lot I can't complain. So far today it's been Engine 99 in the Grabow Big Pipe.
Is Butternut Burley in a Bing's Favorite. Had a day off from work today and the weather outside took a turn for the worse so I spent it mostly inside catching up on some paperwork. Back to work tomorrow for TGIF, then off on Saturday. Have a good tomorrow, everyone!
'Cause of morning training in the morn.
Billows of Milan's Black Forest wafting throughout the abode. Fresh Cosctco 'Alcoholic Sized' bottle of jack has been lightly tapped and I'll probably stuff some Dark Star to finish the day. Smokey, your mentioning of 'Butternut' brought BF to mind. Think chocolate and butternut. I'm going to have a good tomorrow.
Enjoy,
Morning SG - hey, I thought it was coming on to spring in the North! Well, it's a fine clear day here in South Africa. Not too hot either. I'm enjoying my usual morning fare of FVF in a GBD New Era billiard. It's very good. I'm thinking that it's time we resurrected the Tobacco of the Month again. I've enjoyed some fine tobaccos as a result of this initiative - some of which have become favourites & regulars. What do you think?
Billow grandly.
