Good day all. Very hot & muggy here - barely a breeze. I kicked off the day with McClelland AM Pipe in a Pete Watson. Didn't really enjoy it - it's just too warm for anything with Lat in it. So I'm about to load up some McC 2010 in a Pete Supreme. Enjoy your pipes today.

Sunday Sunday

Good morning, happy to see you folks.

Last night's show went well, only one threat of a train wreck (in a spot where the composer over-used his newly learned trick of writing in 2 for one half of the orchestra and 3 for the other half). I had a little bit of a pipe before the show, it was nice.

Church and then show again. They are taking photos after the show and who knows how long that will take. I may get fed though. Since being a musician doesn't pay well, we like to get fed when we perform. :0)

Don't know if I'll have time for a smoke today. Even so, enjoy the Lord's day. It looks like pretty weather here!

New Tobacco

Last weekend, my wife, Cyndi allowed for a little bit of TAD. TAD for me is just a couple of tins, lol

However, I needed to get another tin of OGS (Thanks to Lars for getting me hooked) Well, my local shop has had problems getting some tobaccos (no response from the company, etc.)

I was pleasantly surprised to find that he had gotten some Esoterica's Penzance, which I've been wanting to try for awhile.

Of course, I snagged a tin to try and I believe I've found a new favorite. I smoked my first bowl on the way to work and back, and was further surprised that Cyndi actually likes the smell of this English blend.

Today, instead of being shooed out to the sunroom or garage, I'm smoking a bowl in my Rinaldo Rhodesian, sitting on the couch and catching up on MPC. I'll probably sit and have another bowl at my inlaws on the front porch. It's gorgeous outside and moderately warm for an autumn afternoon.

Have a great Sunday!

Good morning (for another hour anyway).

My week long vacation ends today and the alarm will be going off again at 04:00 tomorrow. Oh well, I have to keep doing my part to stimulate the economy I suppose. SWR in a GBD and black coffee on the side.

Assault

on my palate continues today. After beginning with Nightcap at 4 AM I rather enjoyed some of Finck Cigar Company's ORIGINAL Istanbul (not the Stokkebye stuff they offer now as the same named blend) around noon.
I posted my first ever tepid review of a C& D blend on TR.com on Pirate Kake a couple of days ago. An hour ago I decided to give it another go, but this time outside on my back deck rather than enclosed in our sun porch. Same experience - I feel as if I'm smoking a Wright's Liquid Smoke cased burley or something topped with McCormick's Ham Soup base. It could be an all day smoke in the sense that it will take me HOURS to finish this one bowl. 4, 5 pulls, then rest the mouth. Whew. My two ounce purchase of this is likely to last me, oh, 5 or 6 years, maybe longer.

Gorgeous night here

Gorgeous night here in Buffalo. Just got back from a short walk to the market. We are gonna do breakfast for supper. Some bacon, eggs and home fries. Relaxing for the moment with a bowl of SWR in a Bings Favorite. I love this blend and at $20 a tub at the reservation, one I am going to stock up on for sure. I have yet to try blending this with a bit of Latakia and see how it turns out, but it is in the future for sure.

Hope you all had a great weekend and enjoy your evening.
