Good Morning! Even though I am about to head for bed at 12:30am I thought that I would start us off. So, I am ending my night or beginning my day, with Captain Bob's Blend in my recent Bob Hayes aquisition. It is a custom request of a full-bent, Egg-shaped bowl and I just love this pipe! It is pictured below.
Enjoy your favorite pipes and tobacco today, everyone. I'll check in with you all later today.
Morning Bob & SWM & those who post later. A bit overcast here today but still warm. Quite a pleasant day. Think I'll be taking it easy today - most of my chores are done & I'm still struggling with a tummy bug I picked up in Kenya. I'm smoking Old Gowrie in my Windjammer & finishing off a cup of coffee. This Windjammer is a very fine pipe - never had a gurgle from it & it smokes Rattray flakes like the two were made for each other. BTW Bob, did you ever receive your tobacco prize for the Xmas competition?
Enjoy your pipes today.
Sky overcast but I think we'll got no rain today.
Smoking the very last MFV on the small Peterson Belgique while drinking some instant coffee.
I wake up with an headache I think I'll be taking some aspirin right away.
Cool Hand Fluke (from 4 Noggins) in a Stanwell saddle-bit billiard. All this talk about single-malt scotches has me reminiscing, same as Vasco.... Once in a while I miss good scotch and homebrewed beer, but I drank up my lifetime allotment by the time I was 35 and I sure don't miss the hangovers, lol. I envy you guys but I just don't have it in me to be as moderate. It was enjoyable while it lasted though.
Very crisp and clear Sunday morning here. Temps should be warming up quite nicely though, once the sun starts its lazy climb. Perfect outdoor weather.
FMOTT in a bent BBB brandy. Hot Eight O'Clock Original Coffee on the side.
Enjoy your Sunday!
I don't know about a smoke today, my son shared his stomach bug with everybody and I am still feeling a bit off.
The weather for the past couple of days has been absolutely beautiful but the forecast is calling for some more global warming so we'll have to break the sweaters out again.
Got The Cranberries on the player, going to clean the desk and bedroom. I need to organize the gun cabinet, used some of our "Obama Stimulus" on several bulk packs of ammo so I need a place to put it.
Take care gents

Edgeworth RR'd in the Kaywoodie Shellcraft.
No, I did not. My understanding was my prize would be coming from Lars. From what I gathered here, he has had some health problems. The site needs attention and updating of the home page (TOM). So, my guess is that he isn't looking at us. I sure hope he is going to recover from his bug. I keep him in my prayers and appreciate everything he has done for us. We are still here and operating so I am not overly concerned about the site. But, I am concerned about Lars.
Woke up at 11:30 (went to bed very late). Started the morning on the treadmill with Pot O' Gold and now enjoying Gentleman Callers. Next up - Captain Bob's Blend. I'm watching the NASCAR Bristol 500 today.
Enjoy your day, everyone. It is sunny, clear and cool in Wisconsin. Most certainly, Spring has sprung!
Started off with some Black Frigate in my System SLE 312. Moved on to the first bowl in my Dunnie since salt/alcohol. MacB Plumcake. This may be my best smoker. Nutty, incredible draw, incredible feel. For $38, it's a steal. Now onto 3P's in a Shamrock XL02.
When I started pipes, I gravitated towards Danish/Japanese shapes and pipes. Now my tastes are clearly onto the classics...Dunhill, Peterson, been eyeing up a few Ashtons.
Union Square in a Pete kildare 606s (pot). It would have been a good smoke but I messed up the packing... :-(
and winding down the weekend. FMOATP in the BBB Bent brandy. I opened this tin almost one year ago to the month, and had maybe 2 bowls out of it. It has since mellowed out to an almost sublime smoke. I'm actually amazed that it remained as moist as it has, sitting in its origianl container for so long.
Pleasant surprise.
Is the smoke of choice tonight. I have some more of this coming from Mars, I really do enjoy this blend. My next order will probably be to C&D for an 8 oz. tin of Captain Bob's Blend, I'm really intrigued with this one. We ended up with a couple of inches of snow here in mid-MO which has put a damper on my motorcycle riding. I'll be glad when I can get back to my bike for commuting, 40mpg sure beats 17!
to all. Capitan Bob beat me to it as I was hoping to correct my date vs. day mistake from last night. Ok, so now it is Sunday and I am still at work just like last night. However, tonight was a lot more interesting at work and while it is late (or early) at 00:52 PST, I do not feel tired at all.
Anyway, continuing the night with McC 2015 in Stanwell 139 Brazilia, no more coffee tonight, and hoping to be on my way home in about 45 minutes. Back at work tomorrow but hope to enjoy a nice morning with the family.... .
Puff in peace and enjoy.... .
