I don't consider this blending, not even mixing, but I'm testing adding very small quantities of latakia or perique to normal blends. Right now I'm testing Heritage with latakia (from pirate kake) and Squadron Leader with c&d perique.
I don't know if there's a name for this it's more like putting salt & pepper in food.

Vasco,

What you are doing is referred to as "salt and pepper". You may just find something you really like. A word of caution. Make sure you remember or write down what you are doing in case you really like it. Always best to "salt and pepper" with a shot glass because it is easy to keep track of. For example, "Two Shots Heritage plus 1/2 shot Latakia". Write it down just in case yoou love it.

Good luck and report your findings. I'll be interested.

Good advice. But I'm working

Good advice.
But I'm working with quantities so small that what I really need is a scale with 1/10 g resolution.

Heritage with a touch of Pirate Kake looks to be a winner. Squadron Leader with perique needs a little more time to mature.

What you are doing is how I stumbled on one of my favorites, "Pot O' Gold". I started very small with a quarter-teaspoon.
