Home blending - share your formulas

I should say home mixing instead of blending, most of us don't have the means and knowledge to do real blending.
Because I'm mixing small quantities I and all the tobaccos have a similar cuts I used a small glass (looks like a tequila shot glass) and did the mixing by volume. I have a digital kitchen scale but it only measure grams, not 1/10's so, the error would be too big for this quantities.

- Capt. Bob's "Pot O' Gold" -
3 x Two Friends Heritage
2 x C&D Riverboat Gambler
1 x C&D Autumn Evening

- My Own "Chinese Morning 51" -
5 * Synjeco's Wenti Blend (light english with a bit of latakia)
1 * C&D #522G Granulated Blending Perique (8 months old)

I'm yet to try Pot O' Gold, I mixed it today and I'll give it a try tomorrow, but I have tasted all the ingredients and I anticipate a very good light aro. You can order Pot O' Gold directly from C&D but it's not on their catalog, you must ask for it.

I imagined Chinese Morning to be my morning smoke, usually I smoke VAs or VApers in the morning but I wanted something a bit different. My first try with 2 parts of Wenti Blend to 1 part of Perique was a failure as a morning smoke, it's a very potent and flavorful smoke and I bet that most guinea-pigs would be sound a sleep before ending a size 3 bowl. So, for a morning smoke, it's a no-no.
So I tried with a lot less perique, 5 parts of Wenti Blend to 1 part of Perique. I got the same flavor but now the Perique is not so overwhelming if I had it available I would have tried to add 1/2 part of white burley to round things a bit.
Anyway, I find it good enough to have mixed about 2 oz of it, but I fear that it is very far from a good morning smoke

Vaso,

What a nice post!

I'll add... for those who desire to order POG they should contact C&D as you mentioned and specifically request as follows:
"Captain Bob's Pot O' Gold Mixture". C&D knows what it is, but it is important to specify "Captain Bob's Pot O' Gold" in order to eliminate any possible potential problems in their computer records. They keep my formula under "Captain Bob".

Vasco, please let me know how you like Pot O' Gold Mixture. C&D may just decide to put it on their list if enough people enjoy it and request it!
