Hello all,
I have been creeping on this forum for the last few weeks and decided to finally join in on the fun. I am a very new smoker having only discovered pipes in the past few months but I have been smoking cigars for a number of years. The beautiful craftsmanship of fine pipes drew me to learn more. In any case, I greatly look forward to learning from all of you and sharing my experiences.
Cheers,
Patrick
Agreed! I sold off some cigars this week and I now have plenty of money to get me going in the pipe game :-P
Welcome to the site, Patrick. Since you have been lurking, you surely know that we're a happy-go-easy kind of crowd. With a pipe in hand, it just can't go wrong!
Welcome to MPC.
Patrick. Be sure to join in - we LIKE new pipe smokers here.
love having new faces around, and definitely love me some scotch. So welcome aboard.
Lagavulin and Ardbeg, my favorites.
Welcome to MPC, you'll enjoy it here.
Adios!

Welcome to the forums Patrick. Pull up a chair and set a spell.
Welcome Patrick. This is a great site you've found. So pull up a chair and enjoy a bowl or two. Hope you post often.

from Cape Cod, Patrick.
Welcome Patrick. I am new here myself. I am still trying to type things correct early in the morning. This is a fun place to be among friends.

Thank you for all the warm welcomes! I think I like it here already :-P
Pipes are waaaaay better. From a taste/flavor point of view. So many more options. And I'm not talking about flavored tobaccos (yak!). Taste a VA and then a Burley and then an English and you'll see what I mean. All great in their own way and all so very different. You just can't beat that.
Add on top of that what you've already learned - the love of the craftsmanship in creating the briar and you've got a huge win over cigars.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy an occasional cigar too ... but its about 99 to 1 pipes to cigars for me.
I don't smoke cigars, but if you ever long for some cigar leaf, there are blends that contain cigar leaf that you might enjoy now and then.
Is there any cigars with Latakia ? I might enjoy that...
I believe you'll find a great group of people here. Welcome and I'm sure we'll be talkin'.
I have never heard of Latakia being used in a cigar before. Its amazing how different the blending tobaccos used really are. Totally different flavor profiles.
Welcome aboard, from another Bostonian. Good to have you here.
Jim
Glad you're aboard!
You found a neat site.
Post often!

Say a prayer for Lefty too...
