At last I got a Savinelli, in this case 2.
ebay photos:

I don't know if they'll be good smokers, but I've been looking for a Canadian billiard (oval shrank) for some time. I think I'm really old fashioned, as the time passes, more and more I like the classical shapes.
However I lost a wonderful GBD full of birdseys just because I went to bed early and the bid I left wasn't enough... :-(
Take a look at the pics of item 110447379589... Amazing...

nice.... congratulations
Nice Catch!
I like them both. One of my favorite pipes is a Pete Donegal Rocky shape 264; the oval stem and silver band work really well together.
Vasco, those should both be...
...excellent smoker's. I have a Savinelli Lumberman (very long stem) with a length of 7 1/2 inches that is over 30 years old and still a great smoker. Sav's are very good pipes. The two pipes you bought look new. Are they?
Vasco, those are both very
Vasco, those are both very beautiful pipes. Classic, great lines, very nice grain. Congratulations.
Very nice Vasco!
Very nice Vasco!
Not new
They are state pipes, looking for the other pics, specially at the rim I'll say they have been well smoked but I have no idea about the fabrication year.
According to the seller's information one is 6 1/8 inch long and the other 6 1/2, big pipes for me.
Beautiful pipes there Vasco
I have 5 Savinellis and all are great smokers. The long stem Canadian style (Lumberman) is one step above the others in smoking quality for me, IMO. Good Luck-Bill
Great Score
Great score Vasco. Really nice pipes. Savinelli makes great smokers.

Nice pipes Vasco
Nice looking pipes Vasco. Savinelli pipes smoke wonderful. It looks you done very well. Enjoy!
You Scored
I have a Pisa I use for English, (without the filter), and I love it. They are beautiful, working pipes. You'll get many wonderful smokes out of those babies.
Beauts!
Great find there, Vasco.
Enjoy!
Nice snag
Great looking pipes Vasco. I love Savs, especially anything long shanked. My favorites are the Bings Favorite.
I think you will enjoy them. Keep us up to date.
Congrats!
Nice winning. You know, it is unfortunate that EBay no longer shows bidder's identification because that second pipe caught my eye and I nearly bid on it myself. For some reason I am uncomfortable bidding against a fellow MPC member. I'm not exactly sure why, but perhaps because everyone here is too nice to be "opposition" for me.
Got them - new record USA => Pt in 5 days
The pipes are in great shape externally, they are so good that I don't want to pull the stems in blanch, I think that this time I I'll only give them an alcohol bath for a few minutes.
But they will need some internal job. The bowls are clean and well reamed but they have that smell that I heard described as "old people". But I'm, sure that my grandmother (died at 104) never smelled like that.
But I don't know how I'll clean this shanks... You're not supposed to let any salt into the
air ways... Any suggestions ?
It could be a good idea if I asked the seller to give them the Ozone treatment (5 bucks).
I'd like to date this babies... Any Idea ? I'll need CSI technical hardware in order to read some of the text.
Arist, I think It's more fair for everyone the actions to be like this, I would retreat if I recognize that a fellow friend was interested and I wouldn't get mad if one of them was able to get something from me, I'll accept the fact that he's more interested in the item that I do, and so is life...
