Looks like trouble for us.

In a way I am glad. Prohibition does not work. It serves the Government right to be outsmarted. On the other hand, it won't be long and the Fed's will have their way. It may only require another work-around. If the knot gets too tight, it will bring about the demise of pipe tobacco sooner than anticipated.
Stan, thank you for sharing this informative article!
I got my tub of PA. I was a little surprised to see it 2 oz shy of a full pound, but at twenty bucks for 14 ounces vs. about 3 for 1.5, can't beat the price. There's a smoke shop near the river with Kentucky prices (lower taxes) so there ya go. I also got a small package of Half and Half to try before I decide to get a tub of that too. They had several codger burley blends (HH, PA, CH, etc etc.) in tubs. Not that I'm terribly crazy about PA it is by no means my every day smoke but I figure I'll keep it stashed for later use.
cookies or carrots and really get around the feds tax scheme! This is getting really stupid.
I LOVE how they label the head of a 12-person tobacco producing farm as a "Tobacco Exec."
It's all about perception.
I prefer:
"Small businesses use tax loophole to remain solvent." or if you need more of a summary:
"Small Farmers Find Inflatable life preserver to keep them afloat - Jackass congressmen respond: We'll pop that b*tch with a trident missile!!!"
This crap makes me sick.
I could probably make a strong legal argument to relabel pipe tobacco as incense. heh
Só it would be a religious article. I don't know in the USA, but here a lot of things religion related are tax-free... *THAT* would be nice... :-)))
I might go get a tub of PA tonight and stick it in a closet.
